John Bishop – John headlines the first ever Comedy in the Park at Wicksteed Open Air Theatre. The combination of John Bishop’s ability to keep the laughs coming along with his unique brand of observational humour, his undeniable charm and unrivalled gift of creating a relaxed atmosphere mean that the feel good factor of spending an evening in his company is absolutely priceless.
Phil Wang – In 2018, Phil recorded a fifteen-minute stand-up special for Netflix as part of The Comedy Lineup, one of only two non-US acts in the series. He has also written and starred in his own Radio 4 special, Wangsplaining, and in two series of Daphne Sounds Expensive for Radio 4 with his Foster’s Newcomer Award nominated sketch trio, Daphne.
Phil has performed at international comedy festivals including Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the New Zealand Comedy Festival. His latest critically acclaimed live show, Philly Philly Wang Wang, broke records at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe, selling out its entire run before the festival even began, and subsequently selling out a final extra show in the 750-seater Pleasance Grand. He is currently on his largest UK tour to date.
Dara Ó Briain – One of the UK and Ireland’s favourite stand-up comedians and television presenters. He is best known for hosting Mock The Week, Blockbusters, Robot Wars, Three Men in a Boat, Dara and Ed’s Great Big Adventure, Stargazing Live, Dara Ó Briain’s Science Club, and the documentary Dara Ó Briain Meets Stephen Hawking, all on BBC Television.
Rob Beckett – One of the team captains on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats and host of the hit Absolute Radio show Rock n’ Roll Football Rob is now a regular on our screens. His cheeky chappy persona has seen him perform on BBC Two’s Mock The Week, Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You and ITV’s Play To The Whistle.
Al Murray – Al Murray with his alter-ego, “The Pub Landlord”, is one of the most recognisable and successful comics in the UK. For over 20 years Al has filled arenas around the world, won numerous awards and accolades and has successfully hosted an array of TV series which include “Al Murray’s Happy Hour” (ITV) and the ground breaking sitcom “Time Gentlemen”
Judi Love – Straight-talking powerhouse Judi Love is one of the UK’s most stand-out up-and-coming performers. A brilliantly engaging comic on stage, Judi takes everyday relatable situations that resonate with audiences and brings them to life in hilarious routines.
